I don’t think it’s really possible to lock yourself into a defining label, or brand, without awful coercion.

And I think that I don’t want it at all. Why? Because it really wouldn’t make any sense.
Well, it’s much better to be true to life, that is, to oneself, to one’s inclinations, than to a style. I don’t believe in style. What is that? That repeats itself without any stimulus? Until you can’t stand yourself anymore? It may be that some market has an advantage, but I certainly have no advantage. Well, for me it’s like this: I’m a quick-thinking artist who doesn’t need to deal with the same things for eternity in order to show depth. Depth, lust, fun… one is connected to the other, in art.
